风,无声无色,无影无踪。关于风,人类有各种美好的想象。谁也没有真正看过风,但我们都确信,风就在这里。
Wind, silent, colorless, without a trace. Human have all kinds of fancy imagination about wind. None of us had really seen, but we were all sure that it was here.
低头族、手机党、肥宅懒人......千禧一代被各种标签定义,无论是生活、工作,还是学习,人们的时间都被碎片化。每天以 APP 开始,以 APP 结束,社交空间被约束在几英寸的屏幕之上。
如今公共商业空间已经成为了人们在家庭、工作或学习以外的第三空间,粉丸希望为这个空间增添更多趣味性。例如,为进入这个场域的人制造一个抬头仰望“天空”的机会,让阳光透过天幕照在人的身上,也照进人心。
Millennials are defined by all kinds of labels. Whether it's living, working, or studying, our daily life is fragmented. The day begins and ends with apps, and the social space is confined to a few inches of screen.
Chen Fenwan wants to add more fun to a public commercial space which has become a third space for people outside of home, work or study. For example, for the people entering to create an opportunity to look up at the "sky", let the sun shine through the sky on our body, but also into heart.
古时候,放风筝不仅仅是一种游艺活动,更是一种祈福,表达对未来的愿景。从前的风筝多用纸制作,故称为“纸鸢” 。粉丸用剪纸的形式展现风筝,以古老意味结合当代的艺术语言,在一个人流如织的公共空间,制造了一场共同的“游戏” 。
In Chinese ancient times, flying kites was not only a recreational activity, but also a kind of praying for the future. In the past, kites were made of paper, so they were called "paper kites". In the form of paper art, Fenwan shows the kite, combining the ancient meaning with the contemporary artistic language, creating a common "game" in a crowded public space.
空间顶部留出的透光天幕,成为粉丸创作中很好的预设。作品由三组镂空形式的风筝束群组成,沿高低分布。
作品的动线和线轴处理是粉丸特意而为之,更完整地还原了风筝飘荡中的动态场景。在这个层次高长的空间内,无论是处在何种高度或视角,都能被这样束群而飞的正在进行感所打动。
The pervious sky screen on top become the very good preset in Fenwan’s creation. Of Wind consists of three groups of hollowed-out kite bunches, which are distributed along the height.
The moving line and spool is specially kept by the artist, which more completely restore the dynamic scene of kite flying. In the long and high space of this level, no matter what height or perspective you are in, you can be moved by the feeling of being flying in such a cluster.
风筝面上依然是粉丸出其不意式的纹样,只是这次倒入了更多顽趣的成分。每组风筝各有不同,要在不同层高中找出亲近它们的最佳视角却并不容易,仿如风的迷藏。
天幕下有风筝、 有追风筝的人,还有童真的笑脸。只要停下急促的脚步,就能找寻关于风的想象。
The surface of the kite is still the unexpected pattern of Fenwan, only this time into more childish ingredients. Each group of kites is different, but finding the best angle to get close to them in different layers is not easy, like a hide-and-seek of the wind.
Under the sky there are kites, kite runners, and childlike smiling faces. As long as you stop your rapid footsteps, you can feel the imagination of wind.
风筝如纸屑洒落空中,是人类向宇宙投掷了自己的梦。
希望孩子们伸出的手能够得着这些风筝,也希望风筝线的一头是真实的笑脸 ——在明媚的午后,粉丸和工作室延伸策划了风筝创作和放飞的主题工作坊。我们把原作品纹样重新拆解,将她“关于风的想象”交予参与者们加入,其中有几口之家的小朋友,也有年轻的大朋友。
We hope that the children can reach the kites with their own outstretched hands, and that the end of the string is a real smiling face —— that on a bright afternoon, Fenwan and her studio partners have planned a workshop on the theme of kite creation and flying. We disassembled the original pattern and presented her "imagination about wind" to the participants, including several family with children and young friends.
“每一只风筝都连着一根线,每根线的尽头你都能想象是一张孩子的笑脸。”
工作坊的地点就在作品旁一片不大不小的草坪,位于佛山老城区闹中取静的市中心,有树环绕,也与作品共享着相邻的天幕。经过工作室伙伴手工制作的多彩纹样,被大小朋友们挑选布置在风筝面上,而后共同奔跑、放飞,当中亦包括粉丸和她的家人。
"Each kite is attached to a string, at the end of each string you can always imagine a child's smiling face."
The workshop is located on a small lawn next to the installation. It is located in the quiet downtown of the old city of Foshan. It is surrounded by trees and shares the adjacent canopy with the installation. The handmade patterns prepared by the studio were selected and arranged on the kite. Then we all run together , including Fenwan and her family.
随后我们发现,风筝的意味也许就在于地面那头的笑脸,关于风的想象也在奔跑过程中述说给了蓝天。这场关联活动为《关于风的想象》作品带去了活泼的生气,也在粉丸的预想中令原作更加完整。
Then we found that the meaning of the kite may lie in the smiling face on the ground, and the imagination about wind is also told to the blue sky in the process of running. This association brings a lively life to Of Wind and completes the original concept of it.
