The latest series explores the creation of playful and vibrant cat images through papercutting collages while incorporating interactive designs suitable for all ages. On a public outdoor lawn, she has created her signature “playground”:

The “playground” is divided into two sections: “Park” and “Community”. The "Park" encourages visitor participation, featuring facilities such as slides, seesaws, and benches. The "Community" centers on interaction, with movable installations and hidden spaces designed for real cats.

Cats are the inspiration for her creation. Urban cats are often characterized as soft but gritty and maintain a closeness to humans while preserving an appropriate distance. Chen describes her cats as her "roommates," coexisting under the same roof with occasional interactions yet observing each other in quiet harmony. This long-term companionship inspires her humorous and relaxed portrayal of feline behaviors, allowing her to explore the emotional connections between cats and humans—and, by extension, among people themselves.
