花开 Blossom

受niko and ... 上海全球旗舰店之邀，并作为品牌在中国大陆地区的首位合作艺术家，粉丸于2020新年伊始创作了《花开》系列纸艺装置，寓示新生与祝福。在中国尤其是南方，常常用“春暖花开”形容辞旧迎新之时，花开承载着东方文化中的美好寓意。

Invited by the Niko and... Shanghai flagship store, and as the brand's first cooperative artist in mainland China, At the beginning of the New Year 2020, Chen Fenwan created a series of paper art installation "Blossom ", which symbolize rebirth and blessing. In China, especially in the south, "spring blossoms" is often used to describe the farewell to the old and the welcome to the new year.

装置共含有30朵花，其中饰以880片花瓣，由粉丸团队共同剪纸雕刻而成，同样蕴含中国新年的独特喜庆。花朵层层绽立，在机械动力之下缓缓开合，彷如人的呼吸。粉丸希望以艺术化形态放大花的生命体征，让行人驻足时感受到春天的生命力。

The installation contains a total of 30 flowers, among which 880 petals are decorated and carved with papercut by the Fenwan’s team, containing the unique celebration of the Chinese New Year. The flower splits up layer upon layer, opens and closes slowly under the mechanical power, like the human breath. She hopes to enlarge the vital signs of flowers in artistic form, so that pedestrians can feel the vitality of spring when they pass by.

粉丸还从传统年画娃娃中汲取灵感，创作了憨态可掬的“小花生”，藏在花丛各处。顾名思义，并不是食物名，而是从花中诞生的剪纸小人儿！而装置之中也蕴含着不同层次的红色，以此更富有活力，呼应这片大地的古今记忆。 

Fenwan also draws inspiration from the traditional New Year picture doll, has created the simple and honest "Little Peanut", hides in the flowers everywhere. As the name implies, it is not the name of food, but a papercut little man born from the flower! The installation also contains different levels of red, the most important color of Chinese people, so as to be more dynamic, echoing the ancient and modern memory of this land.
