垂直乾坤 Vertical to Universe

宇宙处在持续的变化运转之中，
上一段时间与下一段时间连接，
是视觉难以捕捉的轨迹

The universe is in a constant state of flux,
The previous period is connected to the next period,
Drawing out a track that's hard to seize.
寰宇之间，穹顶之上，时空在持续变化中蕴藏无限可能。如何与纸张一起去重塑人与宇宙的关系体验，是粉丸在新作《垂直乾坤》中尝试的一次超经验探索。
作品中通过编程牵引当中的日月星，旋转出次次漩涡。粉丸尝试令观众的视线与宇宙的“正面”垂直，甚至同星体对话、与乾坤平视。
Between the world, above the dome, time and space are constantly changing with infinite possibilities. How to reshape the experience of the relationship between human and the universe together with paper is a super-experiential exploration attempted by Chen Fenwan in her new work Vertical to Universe.
Through programming traction, the sun, moon and stars, rotates out of the vortex. The artist tries to make the audience's view perpendicular to the "front" of the universe, even talking to the stars and looking at the contour level.
装置似一个模拟的虚空宇宙，在观众眼前的平面展开。镂空的剪纸如宇宙中的天体行星，在空间中不断地随机转动，时顺时逆、时快时慢，将观众的目光也卷进想象的黑洞。
Like a simulated and imaginary universe, the installation unfolds on a plane in front of the audience. Hollowed-out paper cuttings are like celestial bodies and planets in the universe, rotate randomly in the space constantly, and turn quickly and slowly, drawing the eyes of the audience into an imaginary black hole.
《垂直乾坤》是粉丸历件作品中运用零件最多的一件。由零到整、静至动，历时3个月，将近300个图腾、9000个金属零件，通过反复而精确的工序和组合，得以让她心目中所勾勒的宇宙在“正面”垂直、令乾坤扭转。
Vertical to Universe contains the most used parts in all of Fenwan’s works. From zero to whole, static to dynamic, it took three months, nearly 300 totems and 9000 metal parts, through repeated and precise processes and combinations, she was able to make the universe outlined in her mind vertical in the "front" and make it turn around.
作品正首次展出于黑洞杭州店、广州北京路店内，位于西湖畔的平海路上。它占据二楼的整面橱窗，却以正面朝内，背对着窗外的行人， 破除些许原本橱窗功能的“美陈”感。欢迎前往与这个虚空的宇宙平面，在等高的水平角度目遇相视。
The artwork are exhibited for the first time in the HAYDON store in Hangzhou and Guangzhou. It occupies the whole window on the second floor, but faces inward and backs to the pedestrians outside the window, challenging some of the rules of the original window display. Welcome to meet this imaginary cosmic plane at a contour level of sight.
