Artist Chen Fenwan collaborates with Dong’e Ejiao TAOHUAJI to launch a limited-edition Chinese New Year gift box for the Year of the Horse.
Inspired by the imagery of the post horse and the peach blossom, the design weaves together movement, connection, and vitality.
The post horse represents journeys, opportunities, and the ability to move forward with agility and adaptability. The peach blossom symbolizes affinity, natural charm, and the flourishing energy of life.
Through the hollow-cut language of papercutting, Fenwan transforms peach blossoms into a flowing network of veins. The floral patterns extend toward the horse’s body, stretching upward and outward like a channel of vitality, expressing the dynamic circulation of energy and abundance.
With its raised hoof poised in motion, the Peach Blossom Horse embodies the spirit of moving forward with grace and purpose.
For the new year, Fenwan wishes everyone:
