与传统「团纹」遥相对话。

the artist starts a distant dialogue

to the Chinese traditional rounded pattern of paper cutting.

2023年春节,粉丸为品牌优衣库创作全新兔年限定形象与一系列团纹元素,联名内容将在品牌线上视觉、UTme系列产品、衍生品及线下门店等多区域呈现。

In the Spring Festival of 2023, Fenwan created a new limited image of the Year of the Rabbit and a series of group elements for brand Uniqlo. The co-branded content will be presented in the brand's online vision, UTme series products, derivatives and offline stores.

以关于农历兔年的想象出发,粉丸着以“团圆”为题,用团纹形式创作彩色拼贴剪纸窗花。剪纸窗花自古以来寓意美好的祝愿,她将衣物视作每个人自我表达的窗口,并希望“窗花”的祝愿能够相伴左右。

Starting from the imagination of the lunar Year of the Rabbit, Fenwan created colorful collage paper cutting in the form of rounded patterns with the theme of "reunion". Since ancient times, paper cutting imply good wishes. She regards clothing as a stage for everyone's self-expression, hoping that the wishes can be accompanied around.

而彩色灵感源于纸张之上,艺术家团队手工上色的日常经验。多彩的颜色本意指多元的爱, 如同剪纸艺术的谐音寓意:跃“悦”欲试、“植”繁叶茂、称心如“衣”,对应自然新生、生生不息、团圆相爱的期许。

The color inspiration comes from the daily experience of hand-coloring by the artist’s studio team on paper. Vivid colors mean multiple love, corresponding to the natural rebirth, endless life, reunion and love expectations.

剪纸图纹中,人与自然得以依靠想象力相牵,得到万千种组合。同时置入五彩缤纷的形态 让所有颜色互相融合。正如优衣库传递的「无性别服装」是为所有人而设计,不受传统二元性别的限制。 粉丸希望通过创作,激发人们对穿着⻛格更广泛的可能性。

In the paper cutting pattern, human and nature can rely on imagination to get thousands of combinations. At the same time, all the vivid colors blend into each other. Just as Uniqlo's "unisex clothing" is designed for everyone, it is not limited by traditional binary gender. Through her creation, Fenwan hopes to inspire a wider range of possibilities for dressing styles.

在创作这一系列图稿的过程中,粉丸也曾尝试将心中的画面用真实剪纸制作出来。

显然,于屏幕中进行虚拟像素的“IPAD剪纸”是粉丸惯用的创作方式之一,也是现今在艺术项目工作中最为便利和精确的交流手段。而手工剪纸作为手起刀落、不可逆转的身体经验,于她而言仍然是重要的灵感来源。粉丸对于「剪纸」作为一种概念的思考,意味着更多元化和个人化的创作形式的诞生,对此次联名作品起着共同推进的作用。
