转运花园 Lucky Garden

掌纹即命运，相手术似乎没有科学依据， 更多是人对命运不可控的⾃我安慰。
In oriental culture, one’s palm print may imply his or her destiny. However, palmistry seems to be a kind of self-convincing instead of science.
剪纸常以对个体美好未来的想象为题做装饰，艺术家将每位投稿者的掌纹以剪纸的方式呈现，使不同掌纹组合、转动，布置成闪烁的转运大阵。“花园”则是以精致认真的形式重构⼀种仪式感，“转”代表命运的⼀种运动状态， 更是“转运”不合逻辑的幽默化视觉体现。
Chinese paper-cuts are often decorated with lucky wishes. Chen Fenwan collects the palm print of people around in the form of paper-cut, combining which into a turning installation. While the mirrored “garden” recreates a sense of ceremony in an exquisite and serious way, "turning" represents a sense of movement with destiny, an illogical and humorous visual embodiment.
在陈粉丸的几乎每个作品中，都会出现“手”元素,《转运花园》更是集其大成。“手”之于她是爱的象征，搜索脑海中最受打动的成长瞬间，都有这个器官的介入。无论是童年时母亲温柔的抚摸，或上下学父亲接送时缓缓挥动的双手，都意味着生活的温情，随着艺术家在创作历程中对自身的不断追溯，被刻画入纸。
Handy elements appear in almost every work of Chen Fenwan, and so do the Lucky Garden. For her, hand become the shape of love that takes part in her growth. The gentle touch of mother in childhood, or the waving of the hands when father picked her up from school, mean her warmth of daily life. As the artist keeps tracing herself in the creation process, they are depicted in paper.
“小时候，妈妈常在我入睡前拿着我的手端详。后来才知道，原来在相手术中我的两个手掌是“断掌”，妈妈可能担心“断掌之人命硬，冲动，克性过大，心神欠专一”。这一切没有科学依据，却一直像一个假想敌般站在我面前。慢慢长大，我愈发想知道掌纹与命运的关系。如果掌纹是一种命运预示，那“转运”其实是对抗命运的一种心理暗示大法。我尝试去直面这些写在我掌纹里的缺点，慢慢地，命硬变成坚强，冲动变成勇敢，克性变成独立，心神不专变成天马行空。
我带着这双“断掌”，转变成更好的自己。”
“When I was young, my mother used to take my hand and look at it before I went to sleep. Later I realized that my palm print refer to "broken" in palmistry. She might worry that "the broken palm means hard, impulsive, and unfocused".All this has no scientific basis but has been standing in front of me like a hypothetical enemy.
As I grew older, I wanted to know more about the relationship between palm print and destiny. If palm print is a sign of destiny, then "turning lucky" is actually a psychological hint against it. I tried to face the written shortcomings, and gradually my life became strong, my impulse became brave, my personality became independent, and my mind became unconstrained.”

2019年，《转运花园》受浙江省美术馆十周年纪念之邀于“纸上谈缤”——中国纸文化当代艺术展中展出。
Lucky Garden was invited by Zhejiang Art Gallery for the 10th Commemorative exhibition of paper art in 2019.
